FALL FOLIAGE UPDATES

These pictures were taken October 22, 2012, as you can see the colors are turning but still not all the trees have changed. There is still lots of green trees out there.  All the pictures were taken on the Talimena National Scenic Byway.   The weather is overcast  today.  This cooler weather sure has made the leaves change.  It looks like next weekend will be good and the next weekend should be great.

The Talimena Scenic Drive

Awakening of the forest

March 15 is the awakening of the Ouachita National Forest with all of its gorgeous colors. The wildflowers and the vibrant colors of all the seasons make for an enjoyable ride through the Ouachita’s atop the mountains on the Talimena Scenic Drive, Oklahoma’s National Scenic Byway.  Some things you just don’t want to miss!
